Josh Salazar

Josh attended California Polytechnic University graduating in 2014 with a degree in Agricultural & Environmental Plant Science. While working in Cal Poly's Vineyard he became captivated with the industry. His time spent tending the vineyard, working in the cellar, and creating the edible piece of art in the form of a wine bottle, all came together in him deciding to call the Central Coast home.

In 2013, Josh interned at Saucelito Canyon Winery. Upon graduation, he accepted a full-time cellar position at JLohr and was there for two years until landing here at Venteux Vineyards, where his dreams of making beautiful, expressive wines at a small production winery came true!

About

Venteux

Venteux Vineyards is a small, family owned and operated estate in the hills of Templeton, CA. We tend to 15 acres of dry farmed, head trained vineyards nestled into the calcareous rich soil of the Willow Creek District. Our wines are hand-crafted focusing on traditional production styles such as native yeast fermentation and are produced in limited quantities. This natural approach produces Venteux's style of authentic character and unmistakable complexity.
