"Organic farming and sustainability are at the core of our endeavor to create wines with a unique sense of place. That's why growing our own grapes is essential."

Winemaker

Bastien Leduc

Bastien grew up helping his father on the family’s organic vineyard in the southwest of France, where he became an advocate of agroecology. He holds a degree in viticulture and oenology as well as in organic agricultural consulting. His wanderlust led him to work in a wide range of viticultural regions in France and in Australia. His path eventually led him to California and after several years in the Sierra Foothills, Bastien joined forces with the Neal Family to create Seven Oxen Estate Wines in Paso Robles, where he now serves as the Winemaker and Vineyard Manager.

About

Seven Oxen

Seven Oxen Estate Wines is a family-owned, organically farmed vineyard and winery focusing on small production Rhône and zinfandel wines. They focus on single varietal wines and take a minimalist approach at the winery to produce wines that showcase the unique character of their property. The Estate vineyard is located off of Kiler Canyon Road in the Templeton Gap of Paso Robles’ Westside. The tranquil 130-acre estate includes 26 acres of head trained, spur pruned vines. Bastien and the Neal Family keep their yield low and farm sustainably to guarantee the highest quality fruit possible.
